The Silver lake fire department has been released and sent home, Most of the members have been on the fire since it started Saturday about 3:00 PM. There were several local departments that also participated, Christmas Valley, Paisley, lake view just to name a few. Remember these are all volunteer departments that responded to a call for help.

the fire has jumped the road above carlan lane and is on the north ridge. Carlan and lake view Lane residents are on a 2 hour evacuation alert

The smoke and flames you see north of lake view lane is from back fires

they have closed 31 at picture rock pass  north of Summer Lake and south of the lodge until 3pm, they are setting a back fire

If you run your air conditioning make sure the outside vent is closed. To avoid pulling the smoke into your house

Fire Update they are going to close off 31 north of summer lake, they are going to start some back burns on the ridge, expect more smoke once the smoke has lifted expect more aircraft.
